Hours: 8 am - 4:30 pm PST - with flexibility

Location: Fully Remote working in PST timezone

Employment Type:

August 15th: Part-Time (W-9 Contractor) - 20 Hours

September 15th – October 15th: Full-Time (W-9 Contractor) - 40 Hours

Post-October 15th: Opportunity to transition to full-time W-2 employment - 40 Hours

Compensation: $1,600 - $2,200 Per Month: Depending on experience level

The Graphic Designer executes on a wide variety of deliverables for client projects including but not limited to logo and brand development, illustrations, infographics, icons, outdoor advertising, apparel, digital ads, print ads and collateral, and product packaging design.

You will collaborate with strategists on the overall visual aspects of advertising and media campaigns, and coordinating with the rest of the production team. You’ll need to be a skilled and detail oriented graphic designer who is able to meet important deadlines, demonstrates good communication skills, and has an open-minded approach to problem-solving. You should be a self-starter capable of working collaboratively or independently to deliver excellent creative. You’ll need to be creative, adaptable, efficient, and a team player who can give and accept constructive feedback.

A typical day for the Graphic Designer will include collaborating with the marketing manager and strategists to understand the purpose of a client or marketing campaign; designing various digital and print collateral and graphic elements; organizing workflow and providing feedback for the creative and production teams.

Job Summary/Purpose

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in fine art, graphic design, or similar discipline (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in graphic design (required)
  • Exceptional understanding of typography, layout & composition, color theory
  • Adobe Suite (esp. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
  • Strong photo-editing, and vector illustration skills
  • Strong creative process (moodboards, ideation, editing, final product delivery)
  • Comfortable designing and preparing collateral for print with 3rd party vendors
  • Knowledge of web design terminology and best practices (preferred)
  • Knowledge of photography and/or basic animation (preferred)

What you'll do:

  • Brand development, definition, and stewardship for multiple clients
  • Successful and consistent application of brand principles across print (including apparel, signage etc.) and digital (website, ads, social media etc)
  • Evaluate new design trends, technology, and best practices for incorporation into projects

What You Will Learn:

  • Brand management of multiple client portfolios spanning B2B industries, Sports, Trade, and Lifestyle industries.
  • Expand your knowledge of web design best practices, videography, and animation through working with the Madak team.
  • Team leadership and art direction, including providing critique and guidance to both internal team and clients.
  • Best practices and communication skills to empower and educate clients on best design practices in order to uphold the branding principles you establish.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $1,600.00 - $2,200.00 per month
